Ερευνητική δραστηριότητα
Φωτοκατάλυση: Σύνθεση και χαρακτηρισμός νανοδομημένων φωτοκαταλυτών με βάση την τιτανία (TiO2). Ανάπτυξη αφ’ ενός τιτανίας με “μικροπροσθήκη” αμετάλλων (F, N, S) και αφ’ ετέρου οργανωμένων δομών τιτανίας με τη χρήση πολυμερικής μήτρας. Ανάπτυξη σύνθετων υλικών με ΗΑ και βιοσυμβατών ανόργανων (TiO2) ή πολυμερών.
 
Βιοκεραμικά: Παρασκευή και χαρακτηρισμός βιο-κεραμικών και σύνθετων βιο-συμβατών ικριωμάτων με βάση τον υδροξυαπατίτη (ΗΑ). Επίδραση στη μορφολογία και στη σύσταση τόσο των συνθηκών και μεθόδου καταβύθισης όσο και της παρουσίας διαφόρων οργανικών ενώσεων.
 
Θερμική Ανάλυση¨ Μελέτη της θερμικής συμπεριφοράς στερεών. Κινητική και θερμοδυναμική μελέτη με τη βοήθεια των τεχνικών TG/DTG, DSC και TMA.
 
Εμπλουτισμός μεταλλευμάτων: Αξιοποίηση και εμπλουτισμός φωσφορικών πετρωμάτων με εκλεκτική διαλυτοποίηση.
